As part of the prep work prior to an application of RVroofmagic it is important to look as all the perimeter areas where you have existing caulk. Be sure it is secure. Any loose caulk around the unit and around vents, pipes, or screws does need to be replace. Rubex was field tested to be compatible with RVroofmagic. It is easy to apply will not discolor and has excellent adhesion to most substrates.
For Rubex MS is a premium, innovative product that represents the next generation of sealant technology. Rubex MS does not contain any solvents or isocyanates. It exhibits excellent adhesion to many substrates, including: aluminum, brass, steel, glass, granite, marble, wood, and most plastics. Rubex MS conforms to the requirements of ASTM C920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, and to AAMA Specification 802.3 Type II as a Back Bedding Compound. Rubex caulk through independent testing as proven itself to outperform Butyl, acrylic or Latex caulks on an application of RVroofmagic.
It’s my understanding that Rubex MS stands for modified silicone. RV roof magic says to ensure no silicone as it will not adhere. Since you are recommending this product, I just want to ensure that this Rubex MS construction sealant will not cause problems when I coat the roof with RV magic.
we suggest using our own caulk the Rubex caulk it was field tested to be compatible with the rvroofmagic
