RVRoofMagic California is a very high solids, commercial grade coating, specifically designed for RVs, trailers, and mobile homes. RVRoofMagic California can be applied to the surfaces listed below and is a one-coat system that never needs a primer! Coverage is 40 square feet per gallon. For example, on a 30-foot unit, you would need six gallons, three gallons for the first coat and three gallons for the second.
It Can be applied over the following RV, motorhome, and camper roofs:
- EPDM
- Alpha rubber roof made by Fleetwood RV’s.
- Hypalon
- Metal
- Third party coatings such as acrylics, other elastomeric: any non-silicone product
- TPO
- TPO must be cleaned with "Roof Protect"
- TPO must have remaining service life
- Surface must be dry, and a flash coat is needed. Any of these missing could cause the material to blister/wrinkle.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
RVRoofMagic California is a high volume solid, technologically advanced, fire retardant, thixotropic, coating, formulated specifically for RV trailers and mobile homes, for the protection of metal, fiberglass EPDM and a wide variety of flat and sloped substrates. Our proprietary formulation incorporates premium resins, reinforcing laminar pigments and nonmigrating fire retardants to produce a seamless, flexible, durable membrane to give your RV’s roof years of service life. It has exceptional weatherability, ultraviolet and fire resistance. Its unique chemistry allows RVRoofMagic to act as a “breathing” membrane, allowing trapped moisture to pass through the film while remaining impervious to exterior mass water penetration. The resultant tough, cured film provides great resistance to mechanical damage and chemical attack.
Recommended Uses
RVRoofMagic California is the ideal choice for EPDM, Fiberglass, TPO, Butyl and Hypalon Rubber roofs, as well as roofs that have already been coated with a non- silicone coating. Avoid contact with silicone coatings or silicone caulk. RVRoofMagic California has passed ASTM testing D6083, is approved by the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) and CA Title 24 Approved. The thixotropic nature of RVRoofMagic California permits high build coverage in areas where needed, even on rough, textured or vertical surfaces without pin-holing or sagging. It has excellent adhesion to a variety of other substrates, such as primed wood, primed metal, concrete and masonry. Brushes and rollers may be used for detail work such as edge termination, filling of voids, pinholes and small cracks. Apply RVRoofMagic California only to clean and dry sound substrates free of loose particles or other foreign matter. RVRoofMagic California may be used to enhance adhesion over aged spray polyurethane foam roofs as well. Do not apply product when ambient temperature falls below 50 F. A light power wash, if you have one, is great. Otherwise, use a good bristle brush along with our Roof Protect product. It was field tested to be compatible with RVRoofMagic California, Roof Protect emulsifies contaminates and provides improved surface preparation by effectively removing oil, grease, mildew, dirt, and other soils from your roofing membrane. It also kills any living mold spores. Your roof must be clean, dry and free of any oil, grease, dirt or loosely adhered coating. RVRoofMagic applies at approximately 40 sq. ft per gallon (two coats would be 20 sq ft per coat). Be sure your roof is perfectly dry before application. Many customers tape off their roof with blue painter’s tape to avoid any possible running. RVRoofMagic is ready to use; thinning is not required. Mix for approx. three-five minutes with an electric drill stirrer. Application of the product is with a medium nap roller (3/8 inch, not a foam roller), and chip brush around corners and vertical surfaces. Be sure to put the lid on the can while you are applying the product. Failure to do so will cause the product to prematurely cure and become unstable and very thick. The product has a one-year shelf life as long as you affix the lid properly, so air does not get in.
